There is no early exit: you register as an architect only after all five years.

Drawing, design and Maths sit comfortably together for you, and you notice how a space feels. Be ready to wait, too: a building or a neighbourhood can take years to go from drawing to finished.

Studio work on plans and drawings, then site visits to coordinate carpenters, electricians and suppliers or supervise work as it is built. Interiors moves fastest, finishing in months; larger projects run for years, approved in stages by people who are not designers.

Interiors is crowded with untrained designers competing on price; what the degree gives you to compete with is detailing, services coordination and knowing what can actually be built. You need Physics, Chemistry and Maths, and NATA admits only recent Class 12 batches, so check the current rule and prepare for its drawing section.

Who can apply
Passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Maths and at least 50% aggregate. Note that NATA restricts eligibility to recent Class 12 batches, so check the current year rule before applying.
