What this book promises, and what it does not
We promise that every course duration, entrance exam and eligibility rule named here was checked against the authority responsible for it — the National Medical Commission for medicine, the Indian Nursing Council for nursing, the All India Council for Technical Education for engineering, the Karnataka Examinations Authority for state admissions, and so on. Where a rule is contested or changing, we say so instead of pretending it is settled.
There are no rupee figures in this book — no salaries, no course fees, not one number you could budget from. This is deliberate. Money figures change every year, differ by college and by city, and a number printed in a book cannot be corrected once it is in your hands. A stale figure is worse than no figure, because a family will plan around it. What we give you instead is the map — every course, where it leads, what it demands, and how to enter it.
Where money genuinely bears on a decision, we say so in words rather than numbers: that a field is crowded because it is well paid, that a trade earns better than its reputation suggests, that public-sector work pays modestly and people stay for other reasons. Those statements stay true for years. Figures do not. When you need the figures, the companion website carries them and is kept current.
We do not print exam dates either, for the same reason. They move every year, and a wrong date can cost a student a full year. We name the official portal for every exam instead. That portal is always right; this book cannot be.
We are not paid by any college. No institution appears in this book because it bought a place here, and there is nothing in it for sale.
