Bachelor of Arts (BA)
BA · 3 Years (4 Years Honours under NEP)
Philosophy trains exactly the logic that law entrance tests and reasoning papers ask for.
Books are already a habit, and you enjoy arguing about what something means, or moving between Kannada and English. Fine Arts suits those who make things constantly without being asked. Philosophy suits those who ask why until people get irritated.
Mostly reading a great deal and writing arguments about it. In Fine Arts, it means long studio stretches making things, then hearing them criticised in front of the class. Afterwards the day depends on where you take it: editing, teaching, translating, research or a competitive exam.
Literature and philosophy do not place you by themselves. Turn them into work through internships, published writing, a B.Ed, an MA, or an exam such as KPSC. What literature gives you is scarce: the ability to read hard material quickly and write clearly.
